Country with a memory.
SOCKRHYTHM is built around a simple idea: new country music can still sound honest, human and full of story.
The project draws from the character of mid-century American country — honky-tonk, cowboy ballads, barroom stories, Bakersfield twang and the direct songwriting that made the great records of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s feel immediate.
Some songs are original. Others revisit traditional American material with new arrangements. The common thread is storytelling: ordinary people, strange characters, bad decisions, long roads, dry humor, heartbreak and home.
